　　雖說IGCSE英語課程作為IGCSE課程的必修科目，但似乎每一名學(xué)生參加的IGCSE英語考試并不相同，甚至還有不少同學(xué)的考試列表中包含了好幾門IGCSE英語考試。這是因為IGCSE課程為學(xué)生提供了不止一種的IGCSE英語課程，學(xué)生可以根據(jù)自己的學(xué)習(xí)能力、興趣以及未來專業(yè)要求進(jìn)行選擇。來看看你正在準(zhǔn)備的IGCSE英語考試是哪一種吧。

　　1.IGCSE English-First Language

　　n Cambridge IGCSE First Language English is designed for learners whose first language is English.Cambridge IGCSE First Language English learners develop the ability to communicate clearly,accurately and effectively in both speech and writing.They learn how to employ a wide-ranging vocabulary,use correct grammar,spelling and punctuation,and develop a personal style and an awareness of the audience being addressed.Learners are also encouraged to read widely,both for their own enjoyment and to further their awareness of the ways in which English can be used.Cambridge IGCSE First Language English also develops more general analysis and communication skills such as synthesis,inference,and the ability to order facts and present opinions effectively.

　　2.IGCSE English-Literature

　　n This enables learners to read,interpret and evaluate texts through the study of literature in English.Learners develop an understanding of literal meaning,relevant contexts and of the deeper themes or attitudes that may be expressed.Through their studies,they learn to recognise and appreciate the ways in which writers use English to achieve a range of effects,and will be able to present an informed,personal response to the material they have studied.It also encourages the exploration of wider and universal issues,promoting learners'better understanding of themselves and of the world around them.

　　2.IGCSE英語——文學(xué)

　　通過英語文學(xué)，學(xué)生掌握理解、評價文學(xué)作品的能力。通過上下文的閱讀，理解文中的遣詞造句，發(fā)掘文中所隱含的主題與作者想要表達(dá)的思想，并對作品產(chǎn)生思想上的共鳴。在賞析文學(xué)作品的過程中，學(xué)生提高對于社會問題的關(guān)注度，從而更好地了解自我，體會自己所存在的世界。

　　3.IGCSE English-Second Language(oral endorsement)

　　n Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second Language is designed for learners who already have a working knowledge of the language and who want to consolidate their understanding in order to progress in their academic or professional career.The qualification reflects the widespread use of English in education and commerce,and also in entertainment.The aim is to achieve a level of practical communication ideal for everyday use,which can also form the basis for further,more in-depth language study.

　　IGCSE：英語（英語作為第二語言）是對已經(jīng)具備一定英語基礎(chǔ)的學(xué)生所開設(shè)的。通過進(jìn)一步的學(xué)習(xí)，提升英語技能，為今后的學(xué)術(shù)、事業(yè)發(fā)展做更好的準(zhǔn)備。內(nèi)容涉及教育、商業(yè)、娛樂等多方面，學(xué)習(xí)者最終掌握英語日常會話和深層次的英語理解力、表達(dá)力。

　　4.IGCSE English-Second Language(count-in oral)

　　n Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second Language(count-in oral)is the same as Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second Language with the exception of the oral component.In Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second Language(count-in oral),the marks for the oral component contribute to the overall grade.

　　5.A&AS Level English-Language AS Level(until 2013)

　　n Cambridge International AS Level English is designed for learners who can already communicate effectively in English as it may be their first or second language.The Cambridge International AS Level English enables learners to achieve greater fluency,accuracy and confidence in the language as it is spoken and written,and improve their communication skills.They will learn how to improve their use of English in a variety of situations,understanding how to read texts and other source materials,and how to extract information,initiate conversations and respond to questions both orally and in writing.

　　5.A&AS Level英語

　　AS級別的英語課程適合于英語作為母語或外語的學(xué)生，而且學(xué)生已經(jīng)具備較高的英語水平。該課程幫助學(xué)生提高英語口語和書面語的熟練度、精確度和自信心。在口語和書面語兩方面，學(xué)生懂得如何選用符合場景的語言；通過上下文的閱讀提取信息，能夠主動發(fā)起會話，回答提問。

　　6.A&AS Level English-Language AS and A Level(from 2014)

　　n Cambridge International AS and A Level English Language gives learners the opportunity to study English language and its use in contemporary communication.It aims to encourage a critical response to texts in a range of forms,styles and contexts,and to promote skills of communication,reading,research and analysis.Through their study,learners will develop an ability to read and analyse material,gaining further knowledge and understanding of English language features and issues,and writing clearly,accurately,creatively and effectively for different purposes and audiences.

　　6.A&AS Level英語

　　通過該課程的學(xué)習(xí)，學(xué)生掌握現(xiàn)代英語的表示法，理解各種體裁、題材的文本內(nèi)容，提高交流、閱讀、信息檢索和分析能力。此外，學(xué)生掌握更深的英語語言特性，對于不同的目的和受眾，都能進(jìn)行清晰準(zhǔn)確、新穎有效的書面表達(dá)。

　　7.A&AS Level English-Literature

　　n Learners following the Cambridge International AS and A Level English will study a range of texts in the three main forms:prose,poetry and drama.Set texts are offered from a wide range of different periods and cultures.Learners will develop skills of reading and analysis of texts,and are encouraged to undertake wider reading to aid understanding of the texts studied.They will learn skills of effective and appropriate communication including the ability to discuss the critical context of texts.

　　7.A&AS Level英語——文學(xué)

　　該課程學(xué)生主要學(xué)習(xí)三種形式的文學(xué)：散文、詩歌和戲劇。作品來自各個時代不同的文化背景。學(xué)習(xí)者通過閱讀理解各類文學(xué)作品，提高欣賞、分析文本的能力，并運(yùn)用適合的語言交流作品中的引申涵義。
