　　Hi!My name is Blake-I grew up in New York and spent most of my life there until I moved to Connecticut for college.I graduated magna cum laude from Yale(2016)with Distinction in Molecular,Cellular,and Developmental Biology and spent two more years there working on induced degradation of oncogenic protein targets.Recently,I moved to Boston to join the Harvard/MIT MD-PhD combined program and have become increasingly interested in harnessing the immune system to target cancer.Outside of the biology and anatomy labs,I'm usually watching comedy,in the gym,and/or eating something fun(actively working to successfully do all three at once;stay tuned!).

　　I teach online because I want to help students who are currently trying to make it to the next stage of their career,whether that be working towards college,a professional degree,or graduate school.In the past,I have tutored many students at each level–high school,college,post-baccalaureate,and graduate–in both subject matter(biology,chemistry,and math)and application consulting(college,medical school,and graduate school).As a current MD-PhD student and former college student,I have been through all of the various application processes and know their timelines,expectations,and success strategies well.

　　I am looking to help motivated students apply to the next stage in their education with personal statement brainstorming,essay writing,drafting and editing,in addition to any other application consulting desired.I have personally consulted a number of students with their applications to college and graduate school–many of whom ultimately went on to attend elite institutions–and have found a ton of joy in that process.

　　I have found that throughout personal statement writing and drafting,both the student and I have been able to get to know one another better,all the while improving the student’s chance of application success.It is a rewarding process for both and I look forward to working with students like you in the future!
